The Tibet Museum is the youngest museum in China and also Tibet's first museum equipped with modern facilities. The architecture of the museum is a perfect blending of traditional Tibetan style and modern technologies. There is a large collection of antiques, handicraft and the like which have strong Tibetan characteristics.
There are more than 3 million volumes of dossiers in the Tibet Archive. These dossiers, spanning 700 years since the Yuan Dynasty, cover politics, economics, science and institutions. The archives are primarily in Tibetan and also in Manchu, Mongolian, Chinese, English, Russian and so on.
Tibet University is the only one university mainly aimed at training teachers. This program focuses on the university as an epitome of higher education in Tibet.
