Records of the Grand Historian says that after he unified the warrior states of China into one kingdom Emperor Qin Shihuang visited the East Sea for four times and in his dream he fought against the god of sea and then he killed the shark in the sea and sent his general Xu Fu out to the sea seeking the Fairy Mountains.
