The Moon Reflected on the Er-quan Spring tells a tragic love story between Quan, a Chinese folk artist and Yue’er, his lover, whose father is an old Erhu player. When their relationship is threatened by the vicious local tyrant Gu family, Yue’er robbed of her love drowns in the lake leaving Quan so desperate that he blinds his eyes.
